Cub Naturalist Badge

The course at Cranham will cover four aspects of the Naturalist badge (only three are required to achieve the badge). It will be based in the Grove, but will include studies of grassland, woodland and the stream. Packs are welcome, or Cubs can attend on their own or in small groups. BioBlitz

A BioBlitz is an exciting event where naturalists, students, school children, youth organisations  and members of the public come together to explore and record the local wildlife. Our BioBlitz will take place in Buckholt Wood and on Cranham Common. Both sites are part of the Cotswold Commons and Beechwoods National Nature Reserve and are managed by Natural England's Gloucestershire NNR Team. Cub Navigator Badge

Tree Planting

On 19th December we are planning to plant 420 trees on site and fence the areas that have been planted. We will also tidy the areas that have been planted in the past. Cub Sixer and Seconder Training

The training will provide sixers and seconders with the skills and confidence to fulfil a leadership role within their pack, through a range of fun activities and experiences. Accommodation will be in tents and catering will be provided. Any Cubs attending must be accompanied by leaders in the normal ratios but a Nights Away Permit is not required.
